The @PerthAirport WA Tourism Awards presented by the WA Tourism Council @TC_WA were held last weekend. Australia’s North West Kimberley Bucket List @austnorthwest and the Regional Events Program from the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) were awarded gold and silver respectively in the Destination Marketing category. The first round of speakers for the 2016 Emergence Creative Festival @Emergence2016 were announced during the week. The Festival brings together professionals from music, film, advertising, digital and the visual arts in Margaret River and is the state of the union for Australia’s creative industries. @MailChimp announced during the week that they’ve improved their automation tools. MailChimp is a popular email marketing service and they’ve expanded their automation features, including workflow queue management, individual email segmentation, and send time configuration. They’ve also added two new RSS campaign features, and a whole bunch of other updates elsewhere in the app.
These automation tools could be used to send a series of onboarding emails to introduce new subscribers to your business, follow up with customers after a purchase and/or surprise your best customers with a coupon triggered by their shopping behaviour. Read about all the improvements here.
